Lee Morgan - Search For The New Land - Blue Note Classic Series LP

180g Vinyl LP — Blue Note Classic Vinyl Series, All-Analog Mastered by Kevin Gray

Two months after recording The Sidewinder, trumpeter Lee Morgan returned to Van Gelder Studio in February 1964 to create his masterful Search for the New Land. He assembled a sextet of young Blue Note stars — Herbie Hancock on piano, Grant Green on guitar, Wayne Shorter on tenor saxophone, plus Reggie Workman and Billy Higgins. The album opens with the expansive 16-minute title track and follows with four more indelible Morgan originals.
